This is an automotive air Conditioner control panel from an automotive technology center, the goal to prototype this project is to test the form fit function of the device. The project requires very detail assembly and clearance radius.

This is a small project with simple material such as black ABS machining and Polycarbonate; it is a fit function test prototype without painting. All the parts are original prototype material from CNC machining in the original color.
 
        

Project Processing
It looks very simple in from its smart outlook, but it is a very precision project totally 32pcs in a dimension of 60 x 30 x 30 mm. The main challenge is the Buttons and knobs; to achieve a transmittance function, every component was combined with 3 to 5 parts include the key cap, ornament ring, key body and the light guide. All required very tight fit, and the key buttons required smooth slide in the guide rail, a very tiny mistake will lead to a defeated function.
Very narrow structure space, which could hardly be machined by CNC in one whole part, we have to separate the part and process. Each small but deep into part requires no radius for the tight fixes is a layer by layer structure. It is produced by separated and glued together using the fixture to make sure the prototype precision. For fit function layer by layer structure, which is the small but no radius, Eagle assembly the prototype model piece by piece from the inside to outside to make sure the fine fix.
